Peacock Cactus (Oxypetalum) is a vining succulent native to the tropical rainforests of Mexico and South America. It is famous for being nocturnal, characterized by blooming at night and wilting by morning. The flowers are large, strongly fragrant, and boast a showy white appearance.

Propagation Methods
Peacock cacti are primarily propagated by cuttings. Select a healthy stem, cut it to a length of 10–15 cm, and allow the cut surface to dry for a few days to form a callus. Afterward, plant it in succulent potting soil and water thoroughly to encourage root development.

- Sunlight: It thrives in locations that provide partial shade, and strong direct sunlight should be avoided. A location receiving sufficient indirect light is ideal.
- Temperature: It is best to maintain a temperature between 10–25°C; caution is required regarding excessively low temperatures during the winter. - Watering: Be careful not to overwater; it is best to water only after the soil has completely dried. It is advisable to water slightly more frequently in the summer, but to reduce watering during the winter.
- Soil: Well-draining soil suitable for succulents is recommended.

The Peacock Cactus is primarily suitable for indoor decoration. It is best to utilize ample space by hanging it or placing it on a shelf. As it is a vining plant, appropriate support stakes may be necessary.

- Leaf Moth: Regularly inspect the leaves and remove any larvae immediately.
- Spider Mites: Frequently inspect the undersides of the leaves; if necessary, wash with water or use an insecticide.
