Famous for its amazing fragrance, the award-winning Philadelphus 'Manteau d'Hermine' is a small, deciduous shrub that is very beautiful when in bloom. From late spring to early summer, fragrant double white flowers, 4 cm (1.5 inches) in diameter, bloom in small clusters on elegantly arching branches. The flowers stand out against the oval, dark green leaves. Introduced in the late 1800s by the French plant hybridizer Victor Lemoine, Manteau d'Hermine remains very popular today thanks to its sensational scent. It is an excellent dwarf moc orange suitable for any spot where you can enjoy the fragrance. It is perfect for a small garden! · Awarded the prestigious Garden Achievement Award by the Royal Horticultural Society. · Grows to a height of 60–90 cm (2–3 feet) and a width of 90–120 cm (3–4 feet). · Prefers locations ranging from full sun to bright shade, this plant thrives best in well-drained soil with average to moderate humidity. This plant is not picky about soil as long as it is well-drained. It is drought-tolerant. Generally, it is free from pests and diseases. Watch out for leaf spot, stomatitis, powdery mildew, and rust. · Suitable for shrub borders and ground cultivation. · Since it flowers on the previous year's tree, prune immediately after flowering.
