Streptopus ovalis

Streptopus ovalis is a perennial herb belonging to the Liliaceae family, native to forests in Korea and China.

Growth Characteristics- Growing Environment: It thrives in semi-shaded or shaded areas. It prefers well-drained, acidic soil.
- Morphology: It typically grows to a height of 20–40 cm, and its lanceolate leaves are arranged spirally. It blooms with small white flowers from spring to summer, followed by the formation of red fruits.

Propagation Methods- Seed Propagation: In nature, it propagates via seeds; however, artificially, it is often difficult to obtain and sow small quantities of seeds. This method may not be practical due to low germination rates and a long waiting period for germination.
- Division Propagation: It can be propagated by dividing root clumps in late winter or early spring. This method has a relatively high success rate and propagates quickly. Cultivation Methods
- Planting: It is important to plant in well-draining soil. Adding organic matter to the soil before planting aids in growth.
