2026 Geoje Garden Industry Expo
Geoje City, Gyeongnam Province, announced on the 13th that it will host the "2026 Geoje Garden Industry Expo," where visitors can find garden plants and various garden materials in one place, for three days from April 24 to 26 at the Geoje City Agricultural Technology Center.
Marking its fourth edition this year, the expo will be held under the theme "Gardens, Connecting Everyone" and will feature a variety of programs, including garden exhibitions, a garden industry trade fair, plant exhibitions and sales, gardening classes, and hands-on activities.
Participants for the garden industry trade fair will also be recruited during the expo period. In conjunction with the "Geoje Plant Industry Fair," this trade fair is designed as a venue for industrial exchange where companies related to gardens—such as garden plants, garden facilities, garden supplies, and garden materials—will participate.
Geoje City plans to select participating companies based on a comprehensive evaluation of their operational capabilities and alignment with the expo's purpose. Additionally, incentives, such as the provision of independent exhibition spaces, will be offered to companies capable of directing exhibitions or running their own programs. In addition, families are being recruited for the citizen participation program, "Creating a Family Garden for Everyone with Citizen Gardeners." This experiential program allows families to create mini gardens together, experience the joy of gardening, and share the significance of the gardens created collectively. It is open to 15 families of Geoje citizens with children aged five or older, including preschoolers and elementary school students. The program is scheduled to take place on April 4 at the Geoje Agricultural Technology Center.
Applications for both the Garden Industry Expo participating companies and the Family Garden Creation program are open until the 20th; applicants should complete the application form and supporting documents and submit them via email.
A Geoje City official stated, "The Geoje Garden Industry Expo is a venue for spreading garden culture through direct citizen participation and a place where one can encounter diverse trends in the garden and plant industries all in one location."
